As a prerequisite software component for WMQI v2.1 on AIX the IBM runtime environment for Java (v1.3 at Servce Pack level 10) is required. For this to take effect the machine has to be re-booted, however this is not going to happen until the weekend... Can I still perform the install without the reboot being performed, or do I need the Java environment to be present at the correct level at install time?

JRE is working independently from AIX_ML_10, so you can install the last Java version and WMQI, without reboot. I made it a similar way: installing JDK, then linking jdk_base to java130, so /usr directory is:

Of course, ML_10 is suggested (new pthread!), because there was some strange error without it.
