One of the main reasons we still have to restart the broker (WMB 6.1, AIX) is when changes are made to the ODBC data source entries in the ODBC ini file.
Can anyone advise when a broker restart is not needed after an ODBC Data Source is added or amended?
Would a mqsireload cause the execution group to re-read the ODBC ini file?

mqjeff or rekarm could answer this better, but I think you need a full broker mqsistop then mqsistart in order to reset the ODBC cache. In any event, if you added new data sources that you want broker to use, you would have to configure those in broker and I wouldn't want to rely on them being there unless I fully restarted broker runtime. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks
