Can any one explain Heartbeat interval and keep alive..
I alrady googled it but it all technical explanations,
Though iam studing by myself i cant figure it out..
pls help.  |

Heartbeat Interval : HBINT : is the channel attribute and controls that how frequently sending side should check that receiver side is still active (nothing wrong over network) , when there are no messages to send.
Its default value is 300 in seconds.
Internally sending side MCA sends short messages to receiving side to check that its still available. It happens only when there is no msg on channel for at least heartbeat seconds.
Keepalive : On all platform you can configure it at mq qmgr, its config file qm.ini . Allows to recognize network failures.
