Are you connecting both terminals to the same Compute node Input Terminal?
From your question, my giess is yes.
You could add an intermediate node on the No Message side to put something in the Local Environment or Root or Environment. This should be the rarer condition. There won't be an overall performance hit unless you make the MQGET Timeout very small.
Back to your tests.
There are numerous posts here about testing for the existance of a field.
I'd probably check the value of a field in the expected message with another value (one that you would never see in a million years) using the CARDINALITY function. _________________ WMQ User since 1999
