You'll find all the steps in the InfoCenter for WMB. Look up "data source" using the search facility & this will describe both how to configure a database for use with the broker, and identify it in your flow.

If you really mean configuring the sql server database, you would be better posting on a sql server forum. If you want to know how to configure a database so broker can use it, post on a sql server forum and ask them what odbc is.

I see no reason to copy content which is easily available using exactly the search term is used, especially when the content in question runs to several pages, and you're not paying me for my skills.

As to what you should do, this will vary according to your server confguration, requirements and other variables. So what you'll need to do varies in the details and no-one can advise you on that who's not local to your site.

Back on topic,

I suggest that you show the releative pages of the Broker Documentation to your SQL Server DBA. They will be able to help you with things like Database names, Database connection data and importantly, the correct username & password would will need to connect to the SQL Server DB which you would have known if you had taken one of the formal broker training courses.
