Hello,
I'm new to MQ and need to learn it.
I did try to find some tutrials but they were all not in basic knowledge level.
Where should I begin, assuming I don't know ANYTHING about MQ,
except that this is a queue which applications can send and receive messages from.

Run a little search on this site and on red books, look for MQ Primer
Read the documents in the infocenter...

IBM offers a one-day lecture-only course: "Technical Introduction to WebSphere MQ;" and a four-day lecture-and-lab course: "WebSphere MQ System Administration."
Search google for 'wmq+primer' or 'wmq+fundamentals' or ...

Right above in the center of the forum page, you can see a panel, where 'search', 'Library' , 'Info Center'...
links are mentioned., click on those and you'll have lots of information about websphere mq.
