Hi,

WebSphere Message Broker V7.0.0.1
WebSphere MQ 7.0.0.3
AIX 6.2

/MQHA/BROKEROCP/mqsi

The last week, message broker repository got currpted and throwing below exception while starting message broker.

BIP2111E: Message broker internal error: diagnostic information 'ImbConfigStoreCacheItem::throwConfigStoreCacheItemGenericException() reported 'The last update time could not be extracted from the data file.' with values... ''CSCI0020'' ''The last update time could not be extracted from the data file. brokeraaeg'''. BROKERCP.agent: /build/S700_P/src/AdminAgent/ImbAdminStore.cpp: 159: ImbAdminStore::FindAndCheckAllLongRunningProcesses:

We restored the WMB repository from latest backup. We restored "components" and "registry" folder from backup and restored into /MQHA/BROKEROCP/mqsi folder.

Now broker service is started sucessfully without any error.
All execution group and message flows also started.
All broker queue managers started sucessfully without any FDC/error exception etc.

In last two days, we are observing the performance and found that message flow processing speed is very slow.

I am looking your suggestion/help to check if any issue in execution group or broker level.

What level trace/debug/information help us that our message broker and execution group does not having problem like hang/repository currpt etc..

Thanks,
sonuli

You should have used mqsibackupbroker and mqsirestorebroker, rather than manually backing up components and registry and manually restoring them.

You might have restored things to a time when the Broker was configured to run service level trace, and this would cause at least some slowdown.

You might have restored things to an inconsistent state and this is causing the slowdown.

Your best bet is to see if you can improve the performance of a given EG by deleting it and then recreating and redeploying it.
