Hi,

We are getting MQSTR messages over a channel with convert which we don't want converted. Does anyone know of an option within WAS to set to MQFMT_NONE (or something not MQSTR)? Maybe a custom property? Or does it need setting in the application code?

Thanks,

Chris

Send them over a channel which does not have convert on?

The general recommendation is not to convert messages on the channel. One way to deal with this is have two channels to the other QM, one with convert and one without - select the desired option on the remote queue definition by specifying the appropriate transmit queue.

Otherwise WMB (if you have it) could change the format value very easily.
