Multiple options:
- to take a backup of the configuration, there is a support pac (MS03 if I remember well) free download on the IBM web site.
- to take a backup of definitions and contents, use the command rcdmqimg. Read system administration manual. The command writes the objects in the log files. It requires usage of linear log files (and not circular log files). You typically schedule the command daily?
- for backup of definitions and contents on a support external to MQ, some people stop the queue manager and copy the file structure (on Unix, under /var/mqm/qmgrs and /var/mqm/log). This can also be scheduled daily when acceptable in term of availability. _________________ Nicolas Maréchal
