I am also facing the same kind of issue while restarting the qmgr.
While starting the following error is thrown.
AMQ7017: Log not available.
The error log has the following entry.
AMQ5041: The Queue Manager task 'LOGGER-IO' has ended.
EXPLANATION:
The Queue Manager task LOGGER-IO has ended.
ACTION:
None. |

@santnmq :
You said that you faced similar kind of issue, but you haven't said whats your mq version/platform.
And why you are bouncing your qmgr ?
Do you see any .FDC file in /var/mqm/errors/ ?
Do you confirm the size of the logical volume /var/mqm/errors Or /var/mqm/log Or the size of /var/mqm/ file system. (its not necessary that you would be having logical volumes for your FS).
If you find any error related to amqzmuc0 process that means logging is not happening due to less space on disk/FS.
Is there any long running transaction ?
Try to google on AMQ7017 ( Or you can refer http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IC52674 ) _________________ *Life will beat you down, you need to decide to fight back or leave it. |

santnmq, please do not add to old posts but start a new thread and refer to the old post within it.

How? Share the resolution with the wider community and also prepend the word RESOLVED to the post title. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

the qmgr on which I was facing this issue was shut down a long time back after backing up.
Since it was throwing the error related to Logs, I replaced the log files from the backup and the qmgr started without any issue.
There seems to be the problem with the log files, may be those were corrupted. |

Change the title then please, and prepend SOLVED to it. Thank you. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
