Hi,
We recently migrated MQ from v 5.3 to v7 on z/OS.
We wanted to compare the QMgr parameters from older vs new QMgr as we see some issues.
Not sure where can we find the QMgr parameters?. In which dataset the QMgr parameters will be stored/ hardcoded?. We have the backups for the old qmgrs but those are only for QMgr objects but not the QMgr(attributes) itself.
Thanks. |

Your best resource is the WMQ for z/OS System Setup manual. You are likely looking for ZPARM. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

The CSQINPx datasets usually have a ALTER QMGR in there somewhere to customise the qmgr params from the defaults. Some other params are in ZPARMS, which is a compiled module generated from an assembler macro (how primitive!). Compared to 5.3, you will find quite a few new qmgr params in 7.0. _________________ Glenn |

if your want to compare the MQV7 values with the values before the migration check the last MQV6 joblog of the MSTR. The parameters and their settings are printed at MSTR start. _________________ Regards, Butcher |
