I have installed the IS02 support pac for MQExplorer so that I could hopefully manage some remote V7 MQ Brokers. The environment is such that, from my client, I would like to connect to the external customers MQ Servers/broker via a intermediate QMgr which sits within our firewall(DMZ). Using MQExplorer, I can access these remote MQ managers using an intermediate Queue manager. This allows me to manage MQ Objects remotely, which works out great (the DMZ and remote QMgr are connected via SSL channels). I would like to be able to use the Broker MQExplorer to do the same things, but I cannot seems to get it to work. I think the issue is that the MQExplorer needs to connect directly via SVRCONN channel on the DMZ QMgrs. My question is, is it possible to connect to a remote broker via an intermediate Qmgr using the Broker Explorer. I have seen instruction on how to do this is Z/OS, but translating that to AIX got me no where, but the fact that it is published to do this to Z/OS leads me to believe it may be possible from a Windows client (running Broker Explorer) to a remote (outside firewall) QMgr using a secure intermediate QMgr. |
