Hi Tandem-User,

i have a problem with a measurement on NSK.

$SYSCT1.ZWMQDEF 1> mqver
Name: WebSphere MQ
Version: 531.7 FP5317
CMVC level: WMQ-5-3-1-7
BuildType: IKAP - (Production)

i have done the following:

1.
altmqfls --qmgr QM.T300074 --type QLOCAL --meascount TESTCOUNT1 SYSTEM.DEFAULT.LOCAL.QUEUE

2.
$SYSCT1.ZWMQDEF 11> dspmqfls -m QM.T300074 -t ql SYSTEM.DEFAULT.LOCAL.QUEUE
WebSphere MQ Display MQ Files

QLOCAL SYSTEM.DEFAULT.LOCAL.QUEUE
$sysct1.T300074.QUAXZ071
$sysct1.T300074.OUAXZ071
$sysct1.T300074.TUAXZ071

Queue/Status Server : DEFAULTQS
Measure Counter : TESTCOUNT1
Queue Server Options : C
Message overflow threshold : 200000 bytes
$SYSCT1.ZWMQDEF 12>

3. start a measurement
meascom
add process $MQ74 <- process of MQS-QUEUE00
add userdef $MQ74
add counter TESTCOUNT1, process $MQ74, accum, array 000
start test1,interval 1 minutes,for 1 minutes

4. during the measurement some traffic
volume $sysct1.zwmqsamp
mqsput0 SYSTEM.DEFAULT.LOCAL.QUEUE QM.T300074
mqsget0 SYSTEM.DEFAULT.LOCAL.QUEUE QM.T300074

5. after the measurement

$SYSCT1.ZWMQ074 16> meascom

Was anything going through the queue during the measurement? I saw this:

Quote:
4. during the measurement some traffic
volume $sysct1.zwmqsamp
mqsput0 SYSTEM.DEFAULT.LOCAL.QUEUE QM.T300074
mqsget0 SYSTEM.DEFAULT.LOCAL.QUEUE QM.T300074

But it doesn't give an indication of what the traffic was, or the volume of that traffic.

Is it possible that your PUTs/GETs were done outside of the interval? Can you repeat the test but with something that will PUT/GET at a much higher rate for the duration of the test, and increase the duration of the test to 2 - 5 minutes?
