Hi,
We want to replicate our MQ server 5.3 to a disaster side... I want to start the Queue Manager in an cold status. That is I want to reset the log files ? How can I do this. Do you have any thoughts ?
Thank you.

If you create a dummy queue manager of the same spec (number and size of log files) you can copy those on top of your replicated queue manager - if that's what you're doing. Stricitly speaking you can't do a backup of a running queue manager and expect to get everything - either shut it down and back it up - or re-create it from scratch and reconfigure the objects from a saveqmgr output.
5.3 is so out of date it's a disaster waiting to happen anyway

forgot to add that you need the ENTIRE "log" directory, not just the log files - you need the active directory asnd the file amqhlctl.lfh. But if you're going to create a "clean" queue mnager there is no need to do this anyway
