Hi
I downloaded and installed mq message broker 7.0.0.1 trial version from IBM site (along with MQ).
Looks like it is only WMB runtime
Trying to create config manager with mqsicreateconfigmgr
Looks like the command is missing under /opt/IBM/mqsi/7.0/bin
I see other mqsi commands
so, where is this command?
do I need to install additional WMB components or SW
IBM trial site gives you only WMB runtime.
thx |

V7 does not use/need a configmgr. That's why you can't find the command. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Yes.
A central point of MB v7 is that there is no configmgr.
The Broker is the only runtime component. There is no User Name Server - this is handled by MQ pub/sub security. There is no ConfigMgr - this is handled by the Broker itself.
This also means that you can not use any software - Toolkit, CMP API, etc - that expects to talk to a ConfigMgr with Broker v7. The broker performs the work of the ConfigMgr but does not respond back as if it were the configmgr.
You must use v7 tooling to talk to v7 Brokers. |

No it isn't - there are many links. The last one is for the Windows toolkit
WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit
Version 7.0.0.1
I don't know if a trial one can be updated, but if it can, then update it to the latest (7.0.0.2) via the IBM web site - IBM Installation Manager is my tool of choice for this |

Toolkit only runs on Windows and Linux, not on Solaris.
Trial or no Trial. |

Yes, you can apply maintenance to the trial version, so long as it's within the 90 day limit. |
