100 a second would mean all 10,000 connections being dropped and reacquired (on average) every 100 secs. The connection pool sizes should be tuned so that they do not need to constantly grow and shrink.

Many client connections can and should be kept active for hours, if not days or weeks. Especially against a mainframe where MIPS are money.

Hi Felix,

Ok. I have added the code to MQSSX (and MQAUSX) to handle the reverse IP lookup and then filtering. I have tested it on Windows, AIX and Linux and everything appears fine.

The new keywords are:

- Positive filtering: UseAllowHostname and AllowHostname
- Negative filtering: UseRejectHostname and RejectHostname

I'll send you an email shortly so that you can update your MQSSX installation.
