Hi folks, I just recently installed a new MQ / Broker setup on new laptop. (MQ v7 and WMB 6.1.0.
I have spent days trying to get debug to work on my local default configuration.
When I try and set the JVM Debug port via the toolkit (right clicking the execution group > properties) it will let me enter a port number but when I click ok nothing seems to happen. When I go to enable debug in the EG it says I havent set a port yet.
I have tried restarting the execution group, restarting the broker, restarting windows - its always back to '0' when i check it again.
I can set it manually via the command console with an mqsichangeproperties WBRK61_DEFAULT_BROKER -e default -o ComIbmJVMManager -n jvmDebugPort -v 3333 command but when I go back into the toolkit I cannot see the change.
you need to set it on the properties and restart the broker. Then in the toolkit you need to plugin the port set on the eg properties. _________________ MQ & Broker admin
Only on reinstalling my broker and toolkit did I come across a version 6 default configuration (I am using 6.1). After migrating this to 6.1 (to allow me to delete it from 6.1) and creating a new default configuration it worked perfectly first time.
Must have got its knickers in a twist with those previous versions...
