Cant put msgs via MQ Broker into a Queue

Hi
I am trying to put messages into an alias queue through MQ broker.
The issue is that the message is not being sent into the base queue of the alias queue. However when I change the base queue to a newly created queue then messages are going into that queue perfectly.
What could be the reason cause the only difference in my earlier queue and the new queue is the name rest everything is same?

This is an issue in my development project.

well, whats the difference between the "old base queue" and the "new base queue"? Whats the reason code you get returned from the put ?
