Hi,
I have a problem with system password, it's effecting broker. My system password has expired so I have changed the system password. After that, when I am trying to start configmgr and broker , configmgr is starting but broker is not responding ... like starts when started manually but I refresh it , it's stopped......!!!
Can any one help me out is there any solution for this or it has to be roll back only......!!!
THANKS IN ADVANCE........!!!
Regards,

What do the log files tell you?
Do they say, 'sorry invalid username and/or password' or something similar?
You have now experienced why you need to have at least a few accounts where the password never expires. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Dear Yogi,
First and foremost thing, ask your O.S. admin guys, to set ur account password "never expires".
Now, when your service password changes, follow the steps:
1. mqsichangeconfigmgr <ConfigurationMgr> -i <useracct> -a <newservice pwd>
2. mqsichangebroker <Broker name> -i <useracct> -a <newservice pwd>
3. mqsisetdbparms <broker name> -n <database name>
Hope this helps.

So you are going to have some planned system downtime every 3 months?
Welcome to a world of pain especially when you forget
Seriously, I worked in places where this was the norm.
After a talk with the security people we got the broker account set to no password expiry. What we did do was make it an account where interactive logins were disabled. We had a secondary account where the passwords were released in an OnDemand/'have you got a support ticket for that?' way. This account had the rights to 'su' to the broker account without a password.
Worked like a dream. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Dear Yogi,
As one of Expert Exerk's view, it is better to amend your post title to read SOLVED - System Password effect Broker
it makes easier for people when they search and to see that it may contain a fix for their problem.
