Don't know.

How does one generally call a web service?

Maybe the architect who told you this was necessary can also tell you approximately how to do it.

(I'm also interested in the answer to fatherjack's question, as I had not heard of a "tuxedo client in wmb".)

I've not heard of Tuxedo in years, and am interested in the how's & why's of this.

I suspect that it's "call a web service with a tuxedo client" "in wmb".

Which is to say it's really "How do I call a web service in WMB"?

I suspect you're right, but was holding out for something more exotic.

Which of course is very commonplace and documented.

Except that the "with a tuxedo client" bit of the question has been dropped in your re-phrasing. Is it ok to drop it?

I've got my fingers crossed for "no", but only the OP knows for sure.

Only the OP knows for sure, but my guess is that the tuxedo client is hosting the webservice somehow, not being used to invoke it.

Seems a bit odd hosting a service in a client. I'd have thought the service would be hosted in a server. Anyway, whatever...

If the webservice is in WMB then the Tux client needs to invoke it like it would any other web service as mvic already said. The fact that its in WMB is irrelevant.

If the web service is in Tux and needs to be invoked from WMB then it needs to be invoked as any web service would from WMB. The fact that its in Tux is irrelevant.

That's the beauty of webservices. Define the WSDL and away you go.
