Hi,
I have been using pqedit and I can get it to point to the external queue
by

typing in ">QueueManagerName" in the open queue dialog box and setting the
following system variables in windows NT environment

MQCHLLIBx=C:\Program Files\MQSeries Client
and
MQSERVER=SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN/TCP/10.25.140.28

The Queue manager is in a seperate Unix box.

So what should I put in the mqjexplorer show qmanager dialog box.

I believe I select the connect to the remote queue radio button.

What are my paremeters for the qmanager name and connection name?

Do I have to set anymore environment variables.

Thanks
Thusitha

No variables are needed.

In the Queue Manager name, enter the name of the queue manager to which you wish to connect.

In the connection name, enter the hostname or TCP/IP address of the machine hosting the target queue manager. If the queue manager is not listening on port 1414, put the port number in parenthesis after the connection part ...

eg.
127.0.0.1
localhost
127.0.0.1(1415)
localhost(1415)

are all valid connection names
