All,
Need some help with a problem with ASCII to EBCIDIC conversion. THe problem is that some characters are not being "converted" right. Mainly the ! and ^.
Is there anything that can be done to correct this? This is happening when sending from a Windows server to the S/390 MQ.
Any help would be appreciated. |

It depends on the setting of CCSID on the QMGRS and how you're using MQMD->FORMAT.
If CCSID is set ok, and MQMD->FORMAT is set to "MQSTR ", and there a conversion by sender, your applications would not see any differnce between Windows and OS/390..... It even works for my customers....
I would offcause recomend the GMO_CONVERT option, and let the receiver request the convertion....
If you're not using MQSTR as the format you have to supply your own conversion routines.
