And are you saying that in the first instance no default objects were created? _________________ Never let the facts get in the way of a good theory. |

How should we know? What are the differences between these 2 systems? Are they both on the same really old, out of support version of WMQ? Are they both running the same version of the OS? Are the commands being issued by mqm on both systems?
There are a lot of variables here, and you're not providing a lot of information. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Well there's your problem.
I'll also repeat that all WMQv5.3 are out of support and it's pot luck if it works at all on any system now. Upgrade.
Or at least go to the latest maintenance of v5.3 and give yourself the best chance. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

And also keep in mind that IBM recommends the use of the Korn Shell for MQ Admin tasks _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Where did you get that one from? AFAIK, MQ admin commands and programs work OK in any shell. The only difference I can think of is that setting and exporting environment variables has varying syntax. _________________ Glenn |

Hope you have better luck getting an answer to this than I did when I asked it about half a dozen posts ago _________________ Never let the facts get in the way of a good theory. |
