We got a requirement from customer and they have defined String data type with length 008,016 etc and in some places they have defined the length as 8 and 16.

What is the difference between these two lengths ?. We defined the same in WMQI 2.1. There also it is taking the length as 008 or 016.

Can you please clarify the same..........

I am assuming that you are talking about Element lengths in MRM.
These two types of lengh definition will lead to the same value. It doesn't matter if you say your length is defined as 008 or 8 in MRM, you can store data upto 8 chars only in this field.
