Hi,

This is my first post . I am helping my client developing an MQFTE infrastructure. I have a question hoping to find a solution here. Each time a MQFTE Client is installed you need to have a coordination QMGR associated with it. This comes up during the time of an installation and creates a folder under the installation directory like <MQFTE_INSTALL_DIECTORY>/config/<COORDQM>. My question is that is it possible to have a box which has multiple corodiantion QMgr running simultaneously. The problem is that at a time only one coordination QMGR is active on a box. Is there a way around it?

The coordination queue manager is meant to be a central point for getting information about your entire MQ FTE network. Unless you have a real need for a separation of where the agents report to, then all the agents you have should report to a single coordination queue manager.

As for having "only one coordination QMGR is active on a box", I'm not sure I understand what you mean by this.

It is possible to have multiple agents defined on a single machine with a single install of FTE. You can use the command line command fteCreateAgent will create more agents for you.

If you want to have agents that report to different coordination queue managers then you can setup the definition of the other coordination queue managers by using the fteSetupCoordination and ftesetupCommands commands, and then fteCreateAgent with the -p option to tell it to use the new coordination queue manager.

Thanks Philip that really helps . I actually ahve a system setup where there will be multiple agent instances with different coordination QMGR setup on the same box.

ftecreateagent with option -p will help.
