I'm a new MQ user still ramping up on the various ins and outs, so please forgive me if this is a basic question. I'm debugging a problem that I suspect might be incorrect data being put into the message header by my application. My queue is a remote queue that sends messages to another qmgr. What I'd like to do is trap the message before it gets sent so that I can inspect it, but they are sent away instantly as soon as I put them in the queue.
Really what would be great is if there is some console command that can dump the content of the messages onto my console as they flow so I can inspect them. I'm not trying to preserve the messages or write them to any log, I just want to see all the raw data that gets sent over. |

Go HERE and read PeterPotkay's missive...I do hope you're on WMQ V7.0 _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

You could stop the Sender channel on which the messages leave your qmgr. Once the channel is stopped, you can use one of the supplied utility applications to browse and display messages in the transmission queue.
On win/unix amqsbcg will browse and display message content. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
