Seems to work pretty well. if you use the 'search' option through the forums you will be able to see the issues that other people have been having and their workarounds.

Start with "how do I insert data into a database", which is in the InfoCenter.

Then extend that to any Infomix specific requirements with reference (again) to the documentation & this forum. There seems (just scanning through) a good amount of discussion & information that ought to be of value to you.

Then why are you even trying?

Are you sure it should be you that is doing this task, if you don't even know the basics of it? Maybe you should discuss this with your boss, and explain that you don't know the basics of the task you've been asked to do.

Perhaps the PHB's in question are like many I've met who think that WebSphere is WebSphere is WebSphere. ie, if you know WMQ then you are automatically a WMB, a WAS & even a WPS expert by definition.
After all, it's got WebSphere in the name? How hard could it be then?

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Or the equally common, "you're a techie, you know computer stuff, do this, it's on the computer".

Hence I have a CICS/COBOL developer trying to understand XML, a C# developer trying to write ESQL & the testers being very annoyed I don't know why the 3rd party front end software keeps rejecting their input.
