Folks,
MQ 6.0.2.1 on AIX 5.3. Receive a few amq7469 errors on a regular basis (not regular enough to tell, just a hunch).
Logfiles is 30 primaries, 20 secondaries with 16k pages.
I suppose I know the background how to change number of logs, restart qm and so on.
What I'm puzzled about is:
Every time I receive a notification about this AMQ7469 error and have a look into the logs/active folder, I see only 41 logs created. We have enough disk space and inodes and so on... never ever is the QMGR creating more than 41 logs.
restarted the qm. no change.
It does not match my expectation that a QMGR telling "not enough log space" is leaveing about 20% of the log space assigned to it (via qm.ini) untouched and does not even create such files in the first place.
Anybody an idea where I can start here? I'm going through the release notes of fixpacks... see if an update would help... so far no luck.

The queue manager begins to protect itself against such problems when the log gets to about 80 percent full.
The queue manager doesn't need to create 100 percent of the possible log space because it knows when you get to 80 percent without needing to do that. |

Ok... 80% seems to be what I see... thanks for the quick explanation.
