Is there anything that can be done by PEA and cannot be done by UPES. I too fnd that PEA is obsolete. In a large environment say with 50,000 + workflow users, browser based User Interface is the right way I guess. I can only think of UPES.

Is there any architecutural setup that takes advantage of PEA?
Is it recommended for 50,000+ users?

Hi
Your right. PEA is fading out slowly. The optoin is webclient and custom-webclient. We can look at applications using available APIs for the same.

I am pro UPES.

There is nothing that the PEA can do that a UPES can not do... Somethings might be a little bit more easily done via PEA, but the fact that you control the show with the UPES outweighs that for me.

Also, in the past PEAs have not been the most reliable on the UNIX platforms. This is especially true when you were using a PEA for an "unattended" app that was running on the server.

The PEA will eventually go the way of the dinosaur....

I agree..

UPES is the way to go.. The hard part is once you go UPES it's hard to go back to using a PEA.. You do know that you can still use a PEA with the webclient, however, I would only use that as a last option.

Good luck..
