Hi All,

I have been doing some work on Message Broker with CICS Transaction Server. I have generally successful in integrating to CICS with ECI calls from Java Compute Node and also using the Resource adapter on WAS.

My question is regarding the CICS Request Node, will it work with the configuration. From the sys requirements i gather it might not .(?)

Environment is as follows.

WebSphere Message Broker 7.0.0.1 fp 1 (Windows/AiX)
CTG 7, WebSphere Application Server 6.1 (Windows)
CICS Transaction Server 1.1.1 (z/VSE)

Am i going in the right path (ECI from JCN) .. Any advices, best practices, gotchas around this, from the Mainframe gurus.?

Hrm, but looking again, you're using CICS Transaction Server 1.1.1 (z/VSE) and the node says it requires CICS Transaction Server for z/OS Version 3.2.

It's worth an experiment. The other choices would be to use a JCN as you say or configure an MQ interface to your CICS layer.
