Hi,
We encountered the following error while adding a queue manager to the cluster. We are trying to add the X1 q manager to the cluster whose full repository is A2 queue manager. The cluster sender channel of X1 queue manager was in retrying state
----- amqrccca.c : 921 --------------------------------------------------------
12/ 8/10 7:42:38 AM - Process(2448.14172) User(mqm) Program(amqzlaa0_nd)
Host(scrbgcxdkbry014)
AMQ7041: Object already exists.
EXPLANATION:
A Define Object operation was performed, but the name selected for the object
is already in use by an object that is unknown to WebSphere MQ. The object name
selected by MQ was scratch/%CHLBATCH!52, in directory /var/mqm/qmgrs/X1,
of object type *USRSPC.
ACTION:
Remove the conflicting object from the MQ system, then try the operation again.

X1 queue manager is configured to use circular logging. As per the following technote, we need to recreate the queue manager:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21171220
But, we just removed the corrupted channel batch file and restarted the channel. Everything works fine as of now.
There were no errors during channel creation and no other change was made except removing the batch file to fix the issue.
Should I consider recreating this queue manager in near future. Is this a smoking gun ? Also, does anyone have any thoughts on what might be the root cause of the issue.
Thnx |

IMHO you should open a PMR.
Did you do that, and get any answers? |
