Hi,

I have a task of integrating MQ-IMS bridge. Could anyone please guide me to fetch the MQ storage class details. Where Exactly we define the STGCLASS. In our shop we dont have the MQ explorer, all the MQ work are achieved in mainframe websphere screen.

i dont know what you mean by "mainframe websphere screen". there is an IBM provided ISPF interface to perform administrative work on z/OS with MQSeries. Go and see your z/OS mqseries administrator how to call it. He may also have other tools at hand. You may need also special security for that.

below is quoted from the ISPF Mq panels .... helping you to find the STG classes once you are able to call it.

Code:

IBM WebSphere MQ for z/OS - Main Menu

 Complete fields. Then press Enter.

 Action  . . . . . . . . . . 1     0. List with filter   4. Manage
                                   1. List or Display    5. Perform
                                   2. Define like        6. Start
                                   3. Alter              7. Stop
 Object type . . . . . . . . STGCLASS      +
 Name  . . . . . . . . . . . *
 Disposition . . . . . . . . Q  Q=Qmgr, C=Copy, P=Private, G=Group,
                                S=Shared, A=All

 Connect name  . . . . . . . CSXX  - local queue manager or group
 Target queue manager  . . . CSXX
            - connected or remote queue manager for command input
Action queue manager  . . . CSXX  - command scope in group
 Response wait time  . . . . 10    5 - 999 seconds

Thanks a lot for your information. We are using MQ option from ISPF.

then it is what i quoted above. ask your mq z/OS administrator how to call it. ask for proper security too. ask for some education, as mainframe mq and the handling is quite different from mq on distributed plattforms.
