Hi,
I have modified the sample MQ Client amqsput0.c and compiled it on client machine using the below command on solaris machine
gcc -o amqsget0 amqsget0.c /opt/mqm/lib/libmqic.so

Tested successfully Non SSL connection.
Later enabled SSL and tested successfully with sample amqsgetc and amqsputc program.

But when I retested the amqsget0(which is my modified code) it failed with the below error:
AMQ9620: Internal error on call to SSL function on channel 'CLIENTCHL'.

EXPLANATION:
An error indicating a software problem was returned from a function which is
used to provide SSL support. The error code returned was '701'. The function
call was 'gsk_attribute_set_enum - GSK_USE_SOC_MUTEX'. The channel is
'CLIENTCHL'; in some cases its name cannot be determined and so is shown as
'????'. The channel did not start.
ACTION:
Collect the items listed in the 'Problem determination' section of the System
Administration manual and contact your IBM support center.

SSL is configured correctly as i have tested it with standard amqsputc and amqsgetc sample programs.
While compiling the sample program do we need to include something else or have i missed any steps??

Cheers,
Neha

Hi,

I just found the solution for it.
the problem got resolved by compiling with the below command
gcc -m64 -o amqsget0 amqsget0.c /opt/mqm/lib64/libmqic.so

Hi,

This causes your application to be build as a 32-bit MQ client application:
Code:
gcc -o amqsget0 amqsget0.c /opt/mqm/lib/libmqic.so

This causes your application to be build as a 64-bit MQ client application:
Code:
gcc -m64 -o amqsget0 amqsget0.c /opt/mqm/lib64/libmqic.so

Both should work with MQ & SSL, if not, then you should open a PMR with IBM.

Regards,
Roger Lacroix
