Hi Please help. I need to call a field that has a namespace and only at runtime will I know if it has a namspace or not. I let the user specify where the message ID is on the message tree, so the field value on the database is MyXML.test.id then at runtime I take the value AND set

Code:

DECLARE mystring = 'SET OutputRoot.XMLNSC.message.id = InputRoot.XMLNSC.' || 'MyXML.test.id';
EVAL ( mystring || ';')

The code works wonderfully, Now I am finding that some of the requests have namespaces. Now I need to read something like

Code:

DECLARE mystring = 'SET OutputRoot.XMLNSC.message.id = InputRoot.XMLNSC.' || 'MyXML.test.[b]'http://mynamespace.co.za'[/b]:id';
EVAL ( mystring || ';')

Is there anyway that I can read a field with name space without actually declaring the namespace prefix before using it.

You need something like this:
