Hi !
This is WMB v 6.1 on a windows box.
If I want to cange my MQSI_WORKPATH from default to D:\WMBWORK is this the senarium:
1. Shut down all WebSphere Message Broker services and processes.
2. Copy the contents of the default work path directory to D:\WMBWORK .
3. Change MQSI_WORKPATH to D:\WMBWORK
4 Start WMB

/Torben

That's what Broker documenation says:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r0m0/topic/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/an19000_.htm

But is not very clear for me why partitions are involved in this procedure

Regards

You are much much better off recreating the broker with the new workpath than with trying to alter the workpath of an existing broker.

If you have an existing broker, then you are better off deleting it and creating a new one and specifying the workpath on mqsicreatebroker.

If you do not have an existing broker, then just specify the workpath on mqsicreatebroker.

The bit about partitions in the documentation is not about changing the value of the WORKPATH, it's about mounting a different file system in the same location as the old workpath.
