I downloaded the three WMB 7.0.0.1 toolkit zip files (for Windows), from Passport and unzipped them.
I installed WMB toolkit using Installation Manager. I cannot find the broker explorer view when I use this (is it there somewhere)?
When I run the launchpad and try to install the pending broker explorer software, I get the following error:
Insert the disk containing C:\disk1\MBExplorer\install.exe
There is no MBExplorer folder in my toolkit disk1 and I cannot see any other downloads to get from passport, other than broker runtime.
Any idea? |

For the record, it is in the Broker runtime installation |

In the MBExplorer directory
It is also available as a separate Download about 126Mb in size. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

I am having the same problem. When you use LaunchPad, the GUI allows you to choose WMQ 7, Broker, Toolkit and/or Explorer. The Explorer install will not start because as zpat says its looking for an Explorer related folder in the disk1 folder, but its not there.
I downloaded from Passport Advantage twice, but no luck.
zpat, did you make any progress? I'm thinking its a bad package up on Passport Advantage? _________________ Peter Potkay

It comes with the runtime packages, not with the Toolkit only packages.
But it's the same LaunchPad either way. |

Bit confusing, one doesn't expect to have to download runtime to get the explorer.
I assume you mean the Windows runtime?
So if someone is only installing a broker on AIX, does it come with that runtime as well? |

I refer the previous few posters to my earier reply.
You can Download MBExplorer as a standalone install so you don't have to D/L the Runtime and install it from there.
If you do use the runtime kit, the directory MBExplorer contains everything you need. You don't have to use the launchpad at all....
Remember that you would need to D/L the windows runtime kit if you wanted to install MBExplorer on Windows. This is why I prefer the separate d/l.

But the Toolkit only packages (appear to) give you the option to install WMQ 7, Broker, Toolkit and Explorer. If the TK Package can't actually install one of those components, then it shouldn't offer it as a menu item.

I don't see anything in Passport Advantage for just the WMB Explorer. Are you referring to the IS02 Support Pack? Is IS02 and WMB Explorer that you might get from the Broker Runtime package both one and the same? _________________ Peter Potkay

This is the IS02 Download page.

Strangely enough, it has a link to the dowload of Broker Explorer 7.0.0.1 for both Linux & Windows
I downloaded this and compared the .exe size with the .exe on the Runtime kit. There are the same size (in bytes) so, yes they do seem to be the same. Unless, someone from IBM says differently.... _________________ WMQ User since 1999
