I downloaded Postit v2.3 from the ibm spt pac site. I've followed the instructions to the letter and I never see it show up in my list of primitives and/or don't get any initialization messages from the event log.
I did find that one of the instructions (page 17 #3) was pointing to the wrong dir for 2.1 so I'll pass this on:
Copy config contents to this directory for 2.1 C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ Integrator 2.1\primitives\MessageProcessingNodeType
There are a list of obj files with this plugin - does anyone know where these get copied to? There are no instructions on these files in the doc.
I am running MQSI 2.1 on W2K. Has anyone successfully installed this plugin on this platform w/this version? Do I need to recompile this plugin to work on my machine?
Thanks in advance,

Melissa,
I have used older version of postit plug-in with MQSI 2.0.2 and everything worked fine at that time.
You should copy your files into following directories ..
On Control Center machine
-------------------------
Copy XML Interface Defn files (PostitApply, PostitCreate, and PostitDelete) and *.wdp files into <wmqi_root>\tool\repository\private\<hostname or IPAddress>\<qmgrname>\MessageProcessingNodeType directory.
Copy *.gif files into <wmqi_root>\tool\images directory.
copy *.htm files into <wmqi_root>\tool\help\en_US directory.
On Broker machine
-----------------
Copy *.lil into <wmqi_root>\bin directory on broker machine.
Right click on IBMPrimitives in Message Flow view and select Add to Workspace. This will bring-up a dialog box, select your plug-in nodes and click on Finish button. Now you could Check-in your plug-in nodes into Config Mgr. Make sure your restart your broker before using the plug-in nodes. _________________ Kiran

Hi there Kirani,
Thanks for your reply.
I had everything you had but I noticed that there was a directory for my hostname and with my localhost IP 127.0.0.1 - when I placed the
PostitApply, PostitCreate, and PostitDelete) and *.wdp files in
<wmqi_root>\tool\repository\private\127.0.0.1\<qmgrname>\MessageProcessingNodeType
it worked
I had it in:
<wmqi_root>\tool\repository\private\hostname\<qmgrname>\MessageProcessingNodeType
And it never saw the plugin nodes.
Thanks for you help!

BIP0054E Cannot open message catalog file MQSIV2_postit.
The message catalog file could not be opened.
The text for the message 15 could not be obtained.
Turn on Control Center tracing to capture details of the error.
Retry the operation and contact your IBM support center.
I have placed the MQSIV2_postit.dll in the <mqsi root>/messages. I have also placed MQSIV2_postit - what translates to an Outlook file there too. This file *kind of* looks like a properties file. However, when I look at the Neon plugin - it has a .dll file and a *real* properties file with a totally different format.
I also added the appropriate registry settings for this but it still does not work.
Any help greatly appreciated.
