I'm having a problem with MQ Series on AIX 4.3.3.85.

The installation completed with no problems, but when I attempt to run any of the commands in the bin directory, the following error occours:

$ crtmqm
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program crtmqm because of the following errors:
0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for /usr/mqm/lib/libmqm_r.a(libmqm_r.o) because:
0509-136 Symbol xcsSelect (number 97) is not exported from
dependent module /usr/mqm/lib/libmqmcs_r.a(shr.o).
0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for /usr/mqm/lib/libmqmr_r.a(amqr_r.o) because:
0509-136 Symbol lpiSPIActivateMessage (number 173) is not exported from
dependent module /usr/mqm/lib/libmqm_r.a(libmqm_r.o).
0509-136 Symbol lpiSPIPut (number 174) is not exported from
dependent module /usr/mqm/lib/libmqm_r.a(libmqm_r.o).
0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for /usr/mqm/lib/libmqml_r.a(amql_r.o) because:
0509-136 Symbol xcsSelect (number 142) is not exported from
dependent module /usr/mqm/lib/libmqmcs_r.a(shr.o).
0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the
'dump -Tv' command.0


Does anyone have an idea of what is happening here?

Did you have /usr/mqm/lib in your path

PATH=$PATH:/usr/mqm/lib :
export PATH

Yes.

This problem appears to be specific to AIX 4.3.3: an installation on AIX 5 works just fine.
