Hi,
I installed the mq-triggerservice ma7k successfully on my w2k-server.
But every time when I receive a triggermsg a dos-box (cmd) pops up and startup my appl.
Thousands of boxes (windows) seems to be not so good.
1. How can i avoid this ?
2. Can I configure a background-process ?
Thanks all.
Best regards from Germany

Define your process with APPLICID:
START MyApp
/B
The /B means start the application without creating a new window.

The only problem with the /B option is that if your application (console app) crashes then it will also take out the trigger monitor.
The start command options MUST go before the program name.
i.e.
Correct use of option:
start /B abc.exe
Incorrect use of option:
start abc.exe /B
In the second case, the /B option is actually passed as a parameter to the abc.exe program!!!
If you are running a bat file rather than an exe file then put the
EXIT
command keyword at the end of the script.
For console applications, you can try:
start cmd /C abc.exe
where /C tells the command processor to close the window on termination.
Note: For Windows Apps. (GUI), you should be able to do
start abc.exe
later
Roger...
