We have managed to put and get messages from WebSphere MQ 7.0 via PHP SAM (in Windows XP with Apache, PHP, MQ client v7 and XMS)!
But we failed to use pub/sub functionality as written from this link:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/sam.pubsub.php
We encountered the following error while executing the PHP SAM subscribe script:
"unable to create xms consumer"
Sounds greek to me, anyone has an idea what this means? Thanks. |

You need to examine the rest of the exception to determine why the xms subscription failed.
You might also run xms sample programs that create subscriptions (there should be one...) and see if those work, and troubleshoot it until they do. |

@mqjeff
Thanks for the response. We have installed the latest WebSphere MQ Client v7.0.1.2 on the windows machine but it is connecting to a WebSphere MQ v7.0 QM on z/OS. I have read from the link below that it needs v7.0.0.1.
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24007092
Does it mean we need to upgrade the QM on z/OS to v7.0.0.1 or it only requires that we have WebSphere MQ Client greater than v7.0.0.1?
Thanks,
Dave |

Well it really depends on what all of the features you want to use.
Especially if you want to use server based message selectors...
I would suggest you get your server upgraded. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

davexs2020,
Has this problem been resolved? I am also trying SAM.
Can you provide details of the exception you got? There might be mq reason code in the exception. |
