Have you attended the IBM-provided training? If not, why not? If you had attended such training, you would know the answer to your own question. Dare anyone post the link to the IBM site for the WM663 training class? Or, can you google it for yourself? _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

if your client/company is ready to invest in WTx product, you have to/can use that,
if not you have to stick on WMB for sure. _________________ Regards

The point being, Gaya, that WTX is legacy product, will soon be phased out. Why build code on something that will be going away soon? And, in addition to this fact, the base WMB product is several times faster than WTX at runtime. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

Unless you have insider information or a link that states that WTX is to be phased out then I think your information may be incorrect, as one of the largest banks and using WTX quite extensively there has been no such mandate that WTX will be phased in the short term, its transformation is known to be equal if not better than WMB in terms of performance, its only the products event server that lacked the scaleability of WMB.
As stated if your company has the WTX product on its preferered software use it - if its going to be purchased especially and you have WMB use that. |

Just like WMB v6, I'm sure there will be years of use left. And the product name may morph. This topic has been covered in the forum many times, and recently.
The problem resolution provided by IBM support when WTX transforms are slow, is to recode in ESQL. This is a fact. WTX is about 2.5 times slower than native ESQL transforms for the same payload.
This discussion is getting away from the original problem however, which is a lack of independent thinking by the OP and lack of education to support same. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks
