Hi,
- Could be the contents of the logs (LINEAR) viewed somehow? (well, apart from the `strings log_file_name` :) of course)
- Are there any tools for the purpose?
Code: |
OS:
HP-UX 11.31 v3
MQ:
Name: WebSphere MQ
Version: 7.0.1.2
CMVC level: p701-102-100504
BuildType: IKAP - (Production) |
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards, |
|

what purpose?
This SupportPac has no ability to read the MQ log files, to the best of my knowledge.
It will produce a separate log file with human readable data that contains information about messages that pass through channels. But you didn't ask anything about logging human readable information about messages that pass through channels.
You asked how to read the mq transaction logs. These are entirely different purposes. |

Hi mqjeff,
Thanks for the light.
The end result does cover the purpose one way or other, so that was what I's avare of while posting :).
The requirement is
- to "see" what passes on
But unfortunate point is that that "MA0Z" aint applicable in "Itanium". |

Sure, but you didn't mention that here. We only know what you post.

You need to take this requirement under some analysis. It's not necessarily the right thing to do. If the requirement is really to "keep track of what application data is sent", then it is really the job of the sending application to make note of it.

The author does post here, and may be along later to comment on this. The author may also be willing to work with you to provide Itanium support. You may want to contact them by the means mentioned in the documentation and see. |

For the record Cressida (proud sponsors of this forum) produce tools in this sort of purpose.
Which is no kind of endorsement nor any assertion as to the applicability of such tools to any specific requirement. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
