Any idea / speculation on when the MQ explorer will be available for Windows 64 bit environments?

Thanks

At the same time you'll be using a 64 bit eclipse environment, may be?

Maybe, maybe not....they just need to make the MQ Explorer "work" for all functions... then I do not care if it is 32 or 64....

F.J's point is that MQExplorer is based on the Eclipse framework, and until the Eclipse framework itself runs on 64-bit windows, then the MQExplorer won't.

Given that it is only Eclipse 3.6 that appears to ship with a 64-bit windows installer, you can't necessarily expect MQExplorer to run until it is based on an Eclipse 3.6 framework.

MQExplorer v7 is currently built on top of Eclipse 3.3....

If you run Eclipse 64, you can check all the addins folders and maybe copy the MQExplorer folder with its jars and xml files... however at your own risk.
I believe there was a post on the forum that explained how to do that from Eclipse 3.0 to Eclipse 3.1 over a year back or so...

Have fun

It is unlikely that an application written for Eclipse 3.3 will run unchanged and successfully in an Eclipse 3.6 framework.

But as you say, it's not too hard to test.

Total speculation here... but there is no reason why you cannot run 32bit Eclipse on 64 windows is there?

So if you can run 32bit Eclipse (with 32bit JVM) then I would have thought that the explorer should be able to work too.

Now you might not be able to use binding connections to local queue managers but you should then be able to make remote connections.

Have you tried installing and using the 32bit version from the MS0T support pac?
