Last weekend was the daylight savings time change. My system's MQ Explorer does not seem to be picking up the change. Any messages that I am putting on my cluster queues are showing up as an hour behind. This is not the case for the other two workstations that have the MQExplorer installed on them. If I go to another computer that has the Explorer installed, I can view the messages with the correct date on them. Yes, my system date is correct. |

Which of the workstations have daylight savings enabled, i.e. has the system changed the time or has the date been manually altered?
Is this looking at the same message in the same queue on the same queue manager?
If you look at the actual message on the queue with amqsbcg does it show the adjusted time or GMT? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

All of the workstations have DST enabled, the system time was automatically changed.
Yes, this is looking at the same message in the same queue on the same queue manager. I am putting a message on a clustered queue that is on a FR from a PR. After I put the message on the queue, I go through the explorer on my workstation. The system time is 14:30. When I "browse messages" the time shows 13:30. If I go to another workstation where its system time is 14:30, the exact same message in the exact same queue shows 14:30. So this problem is ONLY specific to my machine.
Does amqsbcg work with a clustered queue? I'm trying to run in and I get a mqrc=2058. |

You can't GET from a non-qlocal.
amqsbcg will work with any qlocal on any qmgr on the local machine.
amqsbcgc will work with any qlocal on the qmgr you connect it to.
If you have changed the clock on windows, rather than merely changing the DST flag, then this might explain what you are seeing in regard to date/time inconsistencies. |

Since we own the prime meridian - I say the clocks change in two weeks time! |

Aside from the excellent points above, WMQ uses GMT/Zulu exclusively. Any TZ conversion is a result of setting at your local site. Therefore, you may like to consult your sys-admins to determine how they accomplished the DST change.
MQMD payloads refer to time as GMT/Zulu. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

No, you'll need to browse when connected to the actual queue manager.
What I'm trying to drive at is that the time in the actual MQMD, unmodified by any graphical software, is correct (GMT). I'm thinking yes because the other MQexplorer instances are imterpreting it correctly, but it's a quick, simple check.
I have known servers where DST has been implemented by the sys admin putting the clock forward an hour. I know, I know, and that doesn't seem to be the case here but ... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
