We have broker v6.0 on Windows 2003 and JText adapter. We need to upgrade to v7.
Curious to know if anyone else did this already , I mean with the adapters. The manuals/documentation talk only about broker upgrade, nothing about adapters.
My guess is we need to get rid of the adapter altogether and use the file nodes in v7.
Any experiences / suggestions / tips ?
Thanks

Tip 1:
you can avoid JText adapter, you can use the adapters and nodes which are available in Message broker
Tip 2:
use JText Adapter, it wont impact even if u upgrade to V7, but you have to run through all of your flows and ESQL, there are quite good innovations happened in V7, broker architecture, newly added functionalties etc. _________________ Regards

Getting rid of the adapter entirely is the much better choice.
There are cases that the File nodes can't handle, though. There is no FileGet node, so you can not retrieve data from a file in the middle of a flow without doing something manually.
You can not append to an existing file. You can append to a file, but the data will not be available until the file is complete, and this will either overwrite or archive any file of the same name in the same location. |

Are there any IBM redbooks / links on how to move away from the WBI adapters ? Looks like the client wants to get rid of the JText adapter when we migrate to MQ/MB v7.
Thanks
