Is MA77 supported or if we have problems using it with MQSeries we are responsible to fix it. We are getting TCPIP errors that occur when our Rexx processes are up. IBM has said the Rexx is not a support language for MQSeries. What can anyone here tell me about this?
Thanks,

MA77 is a Category 2 SupportPac:
Quote: |
SupportPacs in this category are available at no charge to all users of MQSeries products. They are provided AS-IS and the license agreement which accompanies them DOES NOT provide for defect correction. |
Can you be more specific on the problem you are seeing? Are there any FDCs being thrown? |

We are getting Event IDs 9208. They show up in the application event log. We are concerned that if MQ changes the MA77 won't work in the future. Does anyone know anything about either the Event IDs 9208 w/ MA77 or potential issues with using MA77 in our production MQ environment?
Thanks,

I would ask IBM to continue to provide a REXX support pac - even as an unsupported one - it's really useful to us and many other sites.
The same applies to the Lotuscript interface - there is a desperate need for scripting language support for MQSeries. Not everyone has time to learn Java. |
