We would like to order Websphere MQ for z/OS V7.0 . We don't know do we need to order Websphere MQ client attachment V7.0 if we want to connect WAS as client from Windows or Linux server or diferent LPAR, where there is no Websphere MQ queue manager, to the z/OS queue manager. We tried to connect WAS on Windows server to the z/OS queue manager V6.0 and this doesn't work. Also, if we want to connect Websphere MQ Explorer on Windows to z/OS queue manager V6.0 doesn't work. Is this the same on the Websphere MQ for z/OS V7.0 ?
If yes, we need to order Websphere MQ client attachment V7.0.

there are some free connections allowed for the mq explorer, for everythjing else you need the client attachment facility. ask your local ibm representative for verification.
