we have broker 5 and trying to upgrade oracle 10G which needs datadirect ver 5. i understand these comes with ver 6 broker installation but we have so far not migrated to ver 6. can any body give info where to get the same. i did not see even at datadirect website.

You can not use DataDirect 5 with Broker v5.

If you want to use Oracle 10, you must upgrade to a newer version of Broker.

can i use datadirect 4 for oracle 10G upgrade. is it not mandatory datadirect ver 5.

pointer to the system requirements for Message broker ver 5 from IBM.

for oracle 10 G in the note 9 it is given datadirect 5 to be used. and the message broker 5 fixpack level as min CSD8.

Can you clarify once again.

Hrm.

Okay. I'd forgotten that later version of v5 shipped with additional sets of DataDirect drivers.

You absolutely shouldn't be doing this with v5 though, even though it will feasibly function.

You should be upgrading to v6.1 at least, for all of the same reasons you are upgrading to Oracle 10G.

we are planning to migrate to broker ver 7.0. Though i have migrated to 6.1 in a test env still it is in testing phase only. what is the complexity if we directly migrate to 7.0. There is no config manager and database is required.
