People may have tried. But they know that they are unsupported.

I tried installing WMB 7.0.0.0, the installation went fine but I was not able to create broker.

WMB. 7.0.0.1 which was released recently is compatible with Win 7

If you truly want to be in line with your environments then you will need to use another Operating System then won't you?

The general concensus seems that Windows 7 is a non starter when it comes to Broker V6.1.

yes i would and i currently got a new machine same as i have earlier before win 7.. and i use my desktop to deploy the flows onto each of the environments using a script. and i wanted my local broker runtime version to be the same as our real time environments...

thanks
