All,

Capitalware is ready for beta testers for a new program called: MQ Message Encryption.

MQ Message Encryption (MQME) provides encryption for MQ message data while it resides in a queue (i.e. data at rest).

MQME is an MQ API Exit that operates with WebSphere MQ v5.3, v6.0 or v7.0 in Windows, Unix, IBM I (OS/400) and Linux environments. Hence, as the user actives encryption for either a particular queue or a group of queues (i.e. 'TEST.*'), both the message data in the queues and the message data in the MQ logs will be encrypted.

MQME uses Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to encrypt the data. MQME supports the standard three different key sizes of 128-bit, 192-bit, and 256-bit.

I took the 'black-hole' approach with MQME. Any and all applications can 'put' messages to a queue that MQME is managing but only authorized users will be able to view (decrypt) the message data. This way no messages are missed or forgotten.

Beta testing MQ Message Encryption is absolutely free including support (no strings attached).

You can view the MQME manual from the following link:
http://www.capitalware.biz/dl/docs/MQME_Installation_and_Operation.pdf

Please let me know if you are interested in testing MQ Message Encryption (support AT capitalware.biz).

Regards,
Roger Lacroix
